General terms and conditions
- Prices
a) Prices according to the current price list are exclusive of VAT.
b) The offered prices apply for the period specified in the quotation.
- Orders
Orders are subject to these terms and conditions. If orders are cancelled after the products have been shipped, the customer bears the cost of return transport.
- Delivery terms
For orders over CHF 100.00 the customer will be charged shipping costs of CHF 25.00. For orders under CHF 100.00 the customer will be charged shipping costs of CHF 45.00. For orders of hazardous goods freight charges are calculated individually and invoiced separately to the customer. Delivery is made in accordance with Incoterm® CIP.
- Deliveries and availability
Deliveries depend on the availability of the products at the time the order is received by Shimadzu.
- Complaints about defects
Complaints must be reported to us immediately or at the latest within 10 days after receipt of the delivery in writing.
- Warranty
From the date of installation, a 24-month full warranty (parts, repair and installation costs) applies to all new machines and equipment that are defective due to manufacturing or material faults. Claims must be submitted in writing and within the warranty period. Damage caused by improper use or by failure to observe operating instructions is excluded from the warranty. No warranty is provided for wear parts.
- Payment
Our invoices are payable net within 30 days, without deduction. Shimadzu reserves ownership of delivered products until full payment of the purchase price has been made. If the customer defaults on payment, Shimadzu is entitled to repossess the products.
- Liability
Liability for delay or non-performance is excluded where circumstances exist that are beyond Shimadzu’s control.
- Miscellaneous
By purchasing products the customer accepts these terms and conditions. Amendments and additions to this agreement are only permissible and binding in writing. Oral agreements are void. This agreement is governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is at the registered office of Shimadzu Schweiz GmbH in Muttenz (Arlesheim BL).
